Dec. 19, 2014 – AHS Calgary Zone Message

The following email was sent from Alberta Health Services Calgary Zone:

On behalf of Brenda Huband and Dr. Francois Belanger, Dr. Richard Musto and the Calgary ZEOC, please see the below announcement regarding the EVD Newsletter

Over the past several months as a part of Calgary Zone Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) response planning, there has been a series of informational newsletters provided to staff on a regular basis. In addition, there has been extensive development of web resources on Ebola and the availability of a dedicated Ebola Information line for staff and physicians. With no changes to the EVD situation, it has been decided by the Calgary Zone Emergency Operations Centre that the newsletter is no longer needed and circulation will be discontinued. Of course, should circumstances change this decision will be reviewed.

We encourage all staff to review and utilize the EVD resources available. The Ebola Information for Staff web page can be found at http://insite.albertahealthservices.ca/ebola.asp and the dedicated Ebola information line can be reached at 1-866-301-2668.

Please remember the risk of EVD remains very low. Alberta Health Services will continue to monitor the EVD situation as well as to plan and train staff to respond safely and effectively to any EVD cases should they occur.

Respectfully,

Lance Hoddinott RN on behalf of Calgary ZEOC
