Royal Alex ER closing: It’s not Ebola… Repeat, it’s not Ebola

The Royal Alexandra Hospital’s emergency department will reopen later today after an Ebola scare shut the department down around 6:30 a.m. Monday, says Senior Medical Officer of Health Gerry Predy, the Edmonton Journal is now reporting. The department was closed as a precaution after a patient came in who had travelled to Africa, said Predy. “He was immediately isolated and continues in isolation at this time,” Predy said. “We’ve now determined the patient does not have Ebola so the department will be reopening.”
