Dear Local 115 Member:
The Local Executive is calling for nominations for the position of Interim Secretary. The position will begin following the election at our Local Meeting on June 11, 2014, and will end at the adjournment of our Local AGM on December Dec. 2, 2014. The position is part time, 2 to 3 days per week working in the Local office, attending meetings, and other duties as assigned. You will be eligible for union Leave of Absence from your position with AHS to carry out these duties, and will be compensated for your time at the applicable UNA rate of pay.
A summary of the Secretary duties is below:
(a) shall keep a record of all meetings of the Chartered Local and of all meetings of the Executive;
(b) shall be responsible for the correspondence of the Chartered Local;
(c) in conjunction with the Treasurer, shall keep a record of the membership of the Chartered Local.
(d) shall carry out duties as assigned by the Executive.
The Local Executive will assist the interim Secretary to orientate to the position, and there are workshops you can take as well.
