Michelle Obama now has bangs………..and The United Nurses of Alberta have an upcoming Ratification Vote. I am fairly confident that you have heard about the bangs…….
Now it is time to get informed about YOUR collective agreement.
The United Nurses of Alberta is about to enter into negotiations with Alberta Health Services to exchange in going proposals for a new contract. In November 2012, delegates from across Alberta voted to form an in going proposal package that must now be ratified by a majority of UNA members voting prior to proposal exchange with AHS.
Local 115 will be holding an information session at the South Calgary Health Centre Room 2301 (1330-1600) Here you will be able to examine the proposal package and ask questions of a couple of really nice Ward Reps. This is a drop-in session where you can spend as little or as much time as you need to examine the proposals and ask questions.
On January 30th we will be holding a ratification vote on the proposal package between 07:00 to 19:00. Voting will occur on the ground floor of FMC in the hallway between the main elevators and the main cafeteria (where the Nutman used to set up). At the South Calgary Health voting will occur in Room 2301 between 14:00 to 16:00. It is extremely important that you come out to vote . Please pass the word to your colleagues as well and encourage them to vote. Ward Reps at satellite locations will be holding votes, please see them for information on times and locations.
